Benway Oil Company started as an oil burner service company in Boston's South End neighborhood by Francis L. Benway in the late 1920's. Many of Boston's coal to oil conversions were done by "Frank" and his five sons, installing Ben-Oil-Way, Silent Flame, and Zenth Oil Burners (all patented by Frank Benway). Oil delivery followed in 1958 by Albert Benway and continues today by his son Frank.

After much thought and careful consideration following Frank’s passing in March, we have made the difficult decision to sell the business to Devaney Energy. We will combine our efforts with Devaney Energy and their staff to continue to provide timely oil deliveries and quality heating repair services.
